The Beachfront rooms are exactly that - beach front. They are close to the water. The BeachView rooms are significantly further back - and up a hill. The entire resort has a great view. The view from Blue Moon was the best I experienced on St Thomas. The cleaning staff was not so friendly. The staff at the front desk and ad Blue Moon Cafe were excellent. The staff at the rental/dive shop were great as well. We enjoyed the quiet room, flat screen TVs, DVD, and patio.

This was a nice hotel for those wanting to partake in a private experience. I enjoyed the private pool. The building itself was noticeably older. There is also an area in the bathroom next to the shower with a screened-in top above some nice plants and rock bed. There was a curious (tiny) lizard that managed to get through the screen. Luckily, he saw himself out...quickly.

I booked a last minute trip to St. Thomas and selected Secret Harbour for its location to Red Hook. Upon arrival, we were upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom in Unit 7 which on the hillside above the pool. We came to like this building as it seemed newer and was very quiet. Security is very good and the staff were helpful and friendly. I rented a car from Avis at the airport which we really found was a great saving on taxi fees. The drive to Secret Harbour is about 25 minutes, passing through Charlotte Amelie and going along the coast road. Avis provided directions to the resort, but the route numbers are often very hard to see. I read one tip online., Be careful after you leave Charlotte Amelie to stay with Rt. 30. At one traffic light, you feel like you should go straight, when you really need to turn right.-- Just think about keeping the water to your right. There is an excellent supermarket called "Food Center" and it will be on your left. The turn for Secret Harbour is at the traffic light at the top of the hill. The resort has an excellent beach. The Blue Moon Cafe was quite good. I recommend a day at Coki Beach which has the clearest water in the area. There are huge tarpon there so rent or bring snorkeling gear. A day trip to St. John is also a good idea. Restaurants in Red Hook are good. Try the Cellar.

The 4 first buildings (1 to 4) are on the beach and refreshed, must preferred than buildings 5 to 7) The resort is not really accessible using the famous 1 dollar cab, only taking the regular cab, which charge you fees per person and are a bit expensives. The resort has the wire internet only (no Wifi). St Thomas is not a convenient island, no trails for runners... Definitively, we do recommend to stay on St John ! Have fun.

Overall good experience. The hotel sits on a small, lovely beach and I had a great view out my balcony. I did find the front desk staff unpleasant to deal with--sour and unfriendly when I checked out. The rest of the staff, however, was very friendly and the service at the bar and restaurant was good. The food was OK--dinners were good but breakfast was very mediocre. I would probably look for another hotel to stay at next time around, but would stay stay there again if I couldn't find another reasonable option.
