I stayed in this hotel on Business, when i arrived i knew i had made a mistake, this is not even a 1 star Hotel.The lobby is the only thing clean, when i entered my room i was shocked, the bed was bowed in the middle, the AC did not work, it had a weird smell,the furniture is very old and falling apart.I moved a small refrigerator in the room and there was a mouse trap underneath it.If you are going to stay 2 days then you can put up with it as i did.If you are staying a week go somewhere else.The food was ok, not great.There are no icemachines and no internet in the room if you are lucky you can go to the lobby and you might be able to connect, i was unable to do so.i truly believe its overpriced, for the kind of rooms it has they should be charging 45 a night.The location is ok, there is a mcdonalds at walking distance and a starbucks.The staff is friendly.

Location by the beach and the Fish Fry was good, check- in was hassel free, room service was excellent, the staff very polite. Our room was quite comfortable. External of building could do with a paint job but overall experience was good. Very pleased with the manners of staff.

I have to say that before I left, I read several other reviews on this and other travel sites and became discouraged with my choice. I was dead WRONG. What you need to realize going in, is that this is not the Atlantis Cove. If you want Atlantis, you need to go pay $* per night. However, for the price, the Nassau Palm was exactly what I wanted and a little more. First of all, there were NO bugs, NO ants or dead roaches. There was NO smell. The room was NOT dirty and the staff was VERY friendly. We were able to check in early and our room was on the top floor with a spectacular view of the harbor. The breakfast was much more than you get here in the United States, and kept us full for several hours after we ate each morning. The neighborhood was NOT scary at all and I was NOT afraid to go out at night. Once again, if you want the "cruise ship" atmosphere of Atlantis, with money loaded tourists annoying everyone around them, pay the $* a night and go. But if you want a piece of the real Bahamas, the Nassau Palm has to be your first choice. The other review on here are one of two things. They are either lies or slander. The Nassau Palm is a great way to see Nassau for a great price. Situated near to many attraction in the town, travelers that came to the Bahamas for the Bahamas and not for the Atlantis will be pleased.

Check in was fast and frindly,staff friendly.Our room #509,was freshly painted,clean and new very comfortable matress,Bathroom a bit small but nice,new tile floor,nice tub-shower,and plenty hot water,carpet in room a bit old but clean, we never saw a bug.Pool and pool area clean and very comfortable,bar just inside also good coffee next to bar.Breakfast serve yourself vey good.Short walk to center of town,or catch bus just outside of hotel.Beach just across street,clean and well maintained. Our patio door was very hard to open, i did not complain, im sure they know about it.We had a nice 7 night stay at the Palms,01/08/2010 to 01/15/2010
